Testament to 19th-century elegance and botanical splendor. Originally acquired in 1875 by Swiss tobacco merchant Michel Louis Ormond and his wife Marie Marguerite Renet, the villa underwent a significant reconstruction after the 1887 earthquake, culminating in its current form by 1889.The surrounding gardens are a horticultural masterpiece, showcasing an eclectic mix of Mediterranean and exotic flora. Visitors can wander through sections adorned with majestic palm groves, ancient olive trees, and vibrant citrus orchards. A highlight is the Japanese garden, established in 2011 as a symbol of Sanremo’s sister-city relationship with Atami, Japan.
