Colletta di Castelbianco is a picturesque medieval village nestled in the Pennavaire Valley in Liguria, Italy. Established in the 13th century, it was originally built as a defensive outpost against Saracen invasions. The village is characterized by its stone houses and narrow alleys, embodying the charm of traditional Ligurian architecture. After being abandoned in the mid-20th century, Colletta underwent a remarkable transformation in the 1990s. Architect Giancarlo De Carlo led a restoration project that not only preserved the historical structures but also integrated modern technology.
